Sep. 16, 2014 – ATLANTA — (Atlanta, GA) September 16, 2014– On Saturday November 1, 2014 in the Grand Atrium of Atlanta’s Historic 200 Peachtree, Chevon Hines Enterprises will hostIMPACT ATLANTA.  IMPACT ATLANTAis a one-day educational conference focused on succeeding in the Entrepreneurial, Sports, Film/TV, and Music Industries respectively. Through four highly informative and practical panels, attendees will learn from Experts how to not only successfully navigate a career in these fields, but also what information, resources, and support the city and state have made available for their benefit, creating a powerful platform for education and engagement.  The event is targeted towards Atlanta’s collegiate, entrepreneurial, and professional communities as well as aspiring actors, athletes, directors, and musicians and is building on the past events the company has held with Invest Atlanta, the SBA, Hypepotamus, and many other Atlanta organizations in the name of education.

When asked why she wanted to host an event of this stature, Founder and CEO, Chevon Hines, an Atlanta native and 2012 Graduate of Georgia State University said, “My Company’s goal has always been to Educate, Connect, and Inspire people to take advantage of the resources before them.  From our growing startup community, the new Atlanta Stadium and Soccer Team, College Football Hall of Fame, Georgia Entertainment Industry Investment Act attracting a plethora of film productions, to the coming Southern Music Museum on Peachtree, Opportunities abound in our city for anyone who wants to start or grow a career within these prevailing industries in Georgia, however, many of those opportunities go under-utilized because there is rarely a platform created to discuss them in their entirety and people simply do not know about them. This happens to be a very special post for me because I absolutely LOOOVVEE Shark Tank! Every Friday Night at 8:00 pm myself and my family are GLUED to ABC’s Shark Tank and now, YOU have the opportunity to experience a Shark Tank-Like Experience 1st Hand.

On Friday August 31, 2012, Successful Entrepreneur Daymond John will be in Atlanta for Pitch the Shark (http://www.pitchtheshark.com/an event where  six individuals with high quality business concepts will have the chance to pitch their idea to a Panel of successful professionals Lead by Mr. John. The panel will be evaluating each idea on the realistic possibility of business growth.

Tickets are $175 – $250 but volunteers receive complimentary admission.  If you are a student who is passionate about entrepreneurship or need insight on starting your own business, this is the PERFECT OPPORTUNITY for you. 

If you want to volunteer here is  the information you need:

Shifts Available-

  • Thursday August 30, 2012- 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm– Volunteers needed to help with preparation materials for the event
  • Friday August 31, 2012- 6:00 am – 12:00 pm- Volunteers needed to help with the operation of the event

Attire

  • All Black Professional Dress Required. No Exceptions
  • Men– Black Suit. Tie. Dress Shirt. Dress Shoes. Clean Cut.
  • Women– Black Skirt Suit or Pants Suit.  Closed-toe shoes. Stockings. Collared-Dress Shirt.
  • If any volunteer does not meet the dress requirements, they will not be allowed to volunteer.
